 New Report on Using Health IT Technologies for Managing Chronic Illnesses 

AHRQ’s National Resource Center for Health Information Technology has released a new report on Innovations in Using Health IT for Chronic Disease Management. The report provides an overview of challenges faced by AHRQ health IT grantees when implementing or evaluating health IT systems to support care processes for the chronically ill. The approaches used by the various projects include: clinical-decision support systems, health information exchange and disease registries, telehealth, and hospital information systems.
